Eyelash extensions are applied to individual natural lashes one at a time with a certified bonding agent. Unlike false lashes, eyelash extensions feel just like your natural lashes and should not feel any heavier than wearing mascara if done correctly, giving you a more voluminous and dense look at the same time. Eyelash extensions are for semi permanent wear and will last through a growth cycle of your natural eyelashes.
No, eyelash extensions will look different on every individual due to the shape of your eyes and the condition of your natural lashes. Depending on your natural eyelash condition and the look you prefer. Also the amount of natural lashes you carry can result to different fullness for each individual
Having eyelash extensions applied is a completely safe and pain-free procedure because your eyes remain closed throughout the procedure and a specialized adhesive is used to apply the extensions. The extensions are applied to the eyelashes themselves, and provided that they are applied correctly, will not cause damage to original lashes.
Everyone’s eyes have different sensitivity levels. We use our professional judgment to determine which adhesive or products to use on each client to prevent any side effects or discomfort. You may have slight redness from the gel eye pad which should subside within 48 hrs. In rare occasions clients may experience an allergic reaction to the glue which can cause some swelling, itchiness, could also be sore or red. Please come in for a glue patch test a few days before getting the full treatment if you are concerned to determine whether you are sensitive or could possibly experience any side effects
All of our products are safe to use however, some may be allergic to the gel eye pads or the main ingredient Cyanoacrylate in eyelash extension glue.
Please let us know if you are prone to reactions, we offer a free patch test to see if you could be sensitive to the product. Please note that any reactions to eyelash extensions can happen to new extension wearers or even long term clients at any time if your body is allergic to the allergen and are not foreseeable to our skilled and trained staff. Whilst care is taken, no refunds will be issued if any reactions occur however, we do offer a free removal in such situations.
Please contact our salon immediately if you become aware of an allergic reaction so we can assist you as quickly as possible. In most cases we will perform a removal and allow your eyes to settle and regain its health. Once an allergic reaction occurs, sadly you won’t be a suitable candidate to have eyelash extensions in the future as it will happen again when exposed to the allergen.
If you suffer from hypersensitivity, dry eyes, severely oily skin or dry skin, currently pregnant, imbalance hormone, recently suffered from an eye infection (within two weeks) or have had eye surgery/procedures please advise us when making a booking.
Yes, we do bottom eyelash extension here at Eesome Beaute & Lash Studio. Bottom lash extensions are only recommended for those who have quite a full amount of bottom lashes to work with or for special events only. Sparse bottom lashes won’t look as natural once the eyelash extensions are applied and can be known to look “gappy” as they fall out a bit quicker, as opposed to those who have a fuller amount of natural lashes to work with. Bottom lashes tend to not last as long as top lashes. Recommended refill for bottom lashes is 1-2 weeks.
Your specialist will consult with you to understand what kind of style you are interested in and what look will work best with your natural lashes. The general appearance of the lashes can range from extremely natural to really abundant!
Our experienced technicians will work with you to find the most appropriate type of extension for your needs. For sparse lashes, we generally recommend Russian volume sets. These are lighter and allow for a fuller look as extensions will fill in gappy areas without adding a lot of weight.
Sometimes clients choose not to take our advice regarding the lashes and do request extra long and thick lashes be applied to their thin or fine natural lashes. We will advise against this as we cannot guarantee that they will last well if they are too long or heavy for your natural lash to support. We will apply the lashes that you request, within reason. Usually, as a one-off or special occasion wear, extra long or thick lashes will cause no problems at all, but long-term it can weaken your lashes.
To ensure the ongoing health of your lashes, we highly recommend that you take the advice of the technician regarding the maximum thickness and length that would be appropriate long-term for your natural lashes. The eyelash extensions come off when your natural lash falls out, and so long as an appropriate weight extension has been applied, your natural lashes will grow through as normal. Please listen to the technicians’ advice about how long/heavy you should go if you have naturally thin or sparse lashes. Don’t try to remove the eyelash extensions yourself – as this could easily damage your natural lashes, as the adhesive bond is extremely strong.
Eyelash extensions can be applied to look anyway that you desire. Most reputable lash artists will be able to give you your desired look or very similar. You can choose to have shorter natural lashes, large dramatic lashes, etc. Typically speaking, you won’t look like a drag queen, eyelash extensions don’t look super fake unless that is the look that you are going for.
No, eyelash extensions are never applied to the skin on the eyelid and we are very careful to attach them 0.05-1mm away from the skin to avoid any skin/eye irritation that may occur. Eyelash extension is applied on the natural eyelashes individually.
No, you cannot use a curler prior to your lash appointment or after your eyelash application. The extensions won’t bond on the lashes effectively. Curling them afterwards will just break the adhesive bond of the extensions and cause premature lash loss. If you want the curl, please let your technician know, they will show you the different curls of eyelash extensions you can choose to have applied on you.
Yes , to not be disappointed, we highly recommend making an appointment as you are more likely able to secure a time that suits you. We also do walk-ins and can accommodate you if we have free appointment spots available on the day.
-Please remove any makeup before your appointment and come in with a clean face, mainly no mascara please.
-Avoid any caffeine or stimulants prior to your appointment as this causes your eyes to twitch making it difficult to apply extensions and most importantly, this could prevent you from being relaxed during the treatment.
-If possible, please wash your hair before appointment as you will not be able to wet your lashes within the first 24 hours of application
-Please visit our restroom facility prior to your appointment as you cannot open your eyes during application

No makeup should be worn to your appointment, this will affect your lashing time by at least 15 minutes as we would require a lash bath before application of the extensions. Any residue of makeup or oils from your makeup products will affect your lash retention. If you come to your lash appointment with makeup, we may charge a cleaning fee on top of your service. Please feel free to keep a small lash cleanser in your bag and you can use our bathroom facility to wash your face while waiting for your appointment.
Yes, but you will need to remove the contact lenses during application as a safety precaution. We recommend that you bring in your contact lens case with you to your appointment. Please let our staff know if you forgot your contact lens case.
There is no need to perm or tint your eyelashes as eyelash extensions come in different length, thickness, curl and colour.
First of all, you won’t be able to tint eyelash extensions because it is made from a synthetic fiber and it will not be able to absorb the tint. Eyelash extensions come in different colours, so you can choose the desired colour when getting the eyelash extensions. Therefore there is no need to tint your lash extensions. If your natural lashes are light in colour, you can tint your natural lashes before eyelash extensions are applied.
Secondly, you should not perm eyelash extensions. Avoid putting pressure onto the new eyelash extensions as this will result in eyelash extensions falling off prematurely.
Your eye lash stylist should consult with you before the procedure in order to create the look you desire.
For the most part, you can live your life as normal while wearing extensions. Prolonged and excessive exposure to heat, humidity, and water may lessen the life of your lashes. Keeping these to a minimal will increase longer wear.
Eyelash extension can be applied to permed lashes if the perm has been done correctly and it has not damaged your natural lashes. In the event where natural lashes have been crinkled up, crooked due to the result of a bad perm, then you must wait until the new eyelash cycle grows through before eyelash extensions can be applied. This may take 8 weeks more. We generally recommend just waiting 8 weeks or more after your perm to get eyelash extensions applied on as this will achieve the most effective and better results. We can also reverse the lash lift at a additional cost to you.
As long as six weeks – as the eyelash extension generally lasts until the natural lash falls out in its natural cycle. However, if you wish to maintain them, it is advisable to have infills applied approximately every 2 – 4 weeks (depending on how well you take care of them and your natural lash cycle), as by this stage some would have fallen out as new lashes have grown through. How long your eyelash extensions last depends almost entirely on how you care for them (i.e. by removing makeup correctly, not wearing mascara, not using oily products on your face, and not tugging/pulling at your eyelash extensions). Some clients who take extra good care of their lashes get 4+ weeks before they need infills!
Eyelash extension will thin out over time due to the cycle of your natural lashes and how well you take care of it. When your natural lashes reach the end of its life cycle, it will naturally fall out taking the eyelash extension with it, to keep it looking beautiful and full, we recommend a refill every 2-3 weeks.
Depending on your lash growth cycle, you can lose anywhere from 1 to 5 natural lashes per day. Let us average the loss of natural lashes to 3 per day on one eye. If you lose 3 lashes per day, you will lose 21 per week, 42 in 2 weeks and up to 63 lashes in a 3 week period on one eye alone. Again, this is the amount of lashes you lose based on an average natural lash cycle, this may differ from each individual client and will also depend on how well you maintain and care for your lashes.
Sometimes your metabolism, drugs, alopecia, hormones, oily skin, playing with, pulling or constantly touching your lashes and your general overall eating and health can all play a part in your shedding cycle as well. Please do not stress when you see one or two lash extensions on your cheek or your pillow when you wake up in the morning. Instead, understand that it is part of the natural growth process and just how your body works.
Our eyelashes are one of the most loved desired features of our face, so when we see one or two lashes fall out on our cheek it can be a little unsettling. But it is important to understand that it is perfectly normal for eyelash hairs to shed, just like any other hair on our body. If a few eyelash extensions have fallen out, it just means that those natural eyelashes have reached the end of its cycle and are ready to drop off taking the freshly applied eyelash extension with it. Some old eyelash extensions that are applied onto the natural lashes could by now be reaching maturity and ready to shed. Therefore it is not necessarily the natural lashes with the newly applied extensions that are dropping out but rather the older ones.
Generally, we would ask you to pop in prior to your initial appointment or send photos to check the condition of your lashes and determine if it could be infilled or a removal and new set is required. If they are crafted on correctly with no clumps then we are able to continue the work. If previous applied lashes have slight imperfections but still manageable to infill, we will advise you of this prior to performing any application. If you request to continue with a fill instead of a new set, we will accommodate given you have consent to this. Please bear in mind that we cannot assess the condition of your lashes over the phone so the service that could be performed may be subject to how much work is needed and the duration of time we have at your appointment
Yes, we are flexible and we are at your service no matter when you need a infill. We have a 1 week quick infill option if you are only after a touch up in certain areas and not wanting a full infill. Perfect for spot treating small areas before an event comes up.
Generally yes, as long as your lashes are in good condition to lash after the removal. We may recommend a break if they are damaged underneath prior to continuing with a new set of lashes. If the bad extensions have irritated or infected your eyes/eyelids we reserve the right not to perform the procedure, and may refer you to initially seek medical advice. Your health and safety is the most important thing to us. Once eyes and lashes are in good health we are able to apply the lash extensions so you will look all beautiful again.
The answer is yes! In fact, the cleaner your lashes are, the better the retention you will have. Many people seem to think that because we tell you in the aftercare instructions, not to wet your eyelashes for 24 hours, this means do not wet them ever, which is untrue and could cause many issues. Here is why cleaning your lashes are important;
Dirty lash extensions can lead to poor retention and in many worst cases, infection of the eye. This is generally caused by protein build-up, debris, makeup, dead skin cells from the eyelash base and clogging up your pores causing nasty eye infections. Just like the hairs on our heads, oil and dirt builds up fast and that is the same for eyelashes/extensions.
Not cleaning your eyelash extension frequently may also cause clumping of the bonded eyelash extension. When clumping occurs, it inhibits your natural lash cycle, as dead hairs are held in by the hair follicle and this increases the risk of infection and prevents new lashes from growing through.
So with all that said, PLEASE KEEP YOUR LASHES CLEAN!!
We recommend using a lash shampoo foam cleanser, you can contact us to purchase at any of our locations.
Our oil free cleanser is made from natural Ingredients and does not contain oil, glycerine, glycerol, artificial colour, ethanol, parabens, synthetic or added fragrances.
Here is our easy two step guide on how to use our lash shampoo:
Step one: Wet a lash cleanser brush or a dense makeup brush. Then you can pump foam directly on your closed eyelid or on the back of your hand. Dip brush into foam and start mixing the foam into the base of your lash line, gently brushing downwards, then gently brush foam under the lash extensions and on the eyelid making sure that eye area is cleaned.
Step two: Rinse well with lukewarm water, and you can repeat step one again if necessary. After the rinse you can use a towel to pat dry. Please ensure that you do not swipe with a towel as the fibers can pull and tug on lash extensions and may cause damage to your natural lashes. After towel drying, you can use a hair dryer on cool and low setting speed and at a stretched arms distance to blow dry your eyelashes or simply let it air dry. Lastly, give your lashes a good brush to separate the lashes and make them fluffy again.
Shake the cleanser bottle well before use.
Clean one eye at a time so you can see where you are cleaning.
Do not clean lashes during hot steamy showers.
Do not use cotton pads to dry lashes as cotton fibers will get caught on lash extensions.
False strip eyelashes come in all sorts of style, lengths, designs, colours and thicknesses. They are for a more dramatic and fashionable look as opposed to eyelash extensions which are attached to your individual natural lashes giving a more natural-long-lasting result. Unlike eyelash extensions, strip lashes are faster to apply and are used for single wear only. You don’t want to be carrying glue around for when they come undone or the entire strip of lashes falls off without you noticing during a night out in town. Eeek.. We promise you won’t have this problem with eyelash extensions.
We do provide a service to have the extensions removed involving a short 15 to 30 minute appointment where we use a gel eliminator. The gel eliminator is used on top of the extensions without touching the skin and enabled to sit for 10 to 15 minutes. Please keep your eyes closed at all times. Once the adhesive is liquefied and dissolved, the extensions are gently wiped away with lint-free applicators exposing the natural lashes. We will then deep cleanse your natural lashes, dry and brush them after removing the lash extensions.
A removal is only required if you would like to give your lashes a break or if your lashes has been applied incorrectly and needs a rest. New set is needed generally after 4 weeks depending on your lash cycle and maintenance. At Eesome Beaute & Lash Studio, as long as you have looked after them well and have more than 20 lashes per eye at your lash appointment it does not matter how long until you will be required to have a new set again. You may still be able to get a refill with this condition. We are more flexible so you are not constantly paying to get a new set put on so frequently. Unlike other salons it is compulsory that a new set is required after 4 weeks or if you have less than 50 % of your original set left on.
Eyelash lift benefits anyone whose eyelashes are growing straight or have very little curl. It is like using an eyelash curler except it lasts longer. You will be amazed at the difference if only your lashes curled up. This procedure was developed with products that are safe to use around the eyes as long as trained professionals administer it. Please be aware that it does not give you the fullness and volume like eyelash extensions.
This procedure is done with the client lying back with their eyes closed. First we apply a rod along the lid line of your upper eyelid. With safe glue, we stick all of your lashes to the rod and apply a series of solution agents. Within 45 minutes, we remove the rod and reveal your newly curled lashes.
Eyelash lift should last between 6-8 weeks depending on the tightness of curl you desire and your natural lashes. As your own lashes will fall out and new lashes grow in, you will notice the overall curl will lessen. On average, we recommend repeating the service every 6-8 weeks as long as they are back to their natural state.
Eyebrow and eyelash tinting is the process of applying semi-permanent dye safe around the eye to enhance, shape, and define your brows or eyes. Just like shading in your brows or putting on mascara. Tinting generally can last up to 2 weeks depending on how well your hairs take in the dye. The more you cleanse and use oily products on the tinted area or if you have oily skin, this can reduce how long the tint will last. Yes we have a range of colours to suit each individual. If you like your lashes or brows to look natural and subtle or dark and bold, a shorter or longer tinting time can be adjusted and customized to your preference.
